Lee Je Hoon in SG

Korean stars are flocking to SG. I read that it’s because of tension between China and South Korea. Since they can’t go China, they have to go somewhere else right?  Before Lee Je Hoon, there was Lee Joon Gi and Kim Woo Bin etc, and Ko Kyung Pyo and Park Bo Gum of course, whom I blogged about. So Ji Sub just held his fanmeet here. Lee Dong Wook will be here soon. Park Hyung Sik and Park Bo Young are coming too. Oh, Kim Yoo Jung too. Gosh…

Out of all the above mentioned, I am only a fan of Park Bo Gum. I really like Ko Kyung Pyo too. To be honest, I love the Ssangmundong squad. If they come, I’ll try my best to go catch a glimpse of them. I think Hyung Sik and Bo Young are really cute too, even before Strong Woman Do Bong Soon. That said, I’m not a drama fan. The ones I really REALLY want here are TVXQ and Day6. Pleaseeeeeeeee make that happen!!!

Ok, Lee Je Hoon. I liked him in Signal. Event was near where I stay and I wanted to get away from the squabbling kids for a while. Plus, photography practice yo! For when Yunho, Changmin, Won Pil or Young K (or Bo Gum who hopefully won’t go through CIP again) comes to our sunny island again!

His stylist should be sacked! What kind of hairstyle is that? And ewww, that shirt and the oversized jacket made him look like an ahjussi. He is a really good looking YOUNG chap ok?

Anyway, I find indoor photography really difficult! Especially if you have to tiptoe and dodge the hundreds of fans and their phones in the air. Well, I tried my best. Think I improved a bit. Airport will be worse because our airport staff make the stars walk so DAMN FAST.

Sigh… what would I give to see TVXQ and Day6 at our airport. Jebal. TVXQ will be out from the army soon. Don’t go to China! Come here! Day6 has been here twice! And I missed them both times. *cries* I know, it’s my fault for sleeping on them for the past 2 years. I am hopeful they will come again. *prays hard*

I will end off with my favorite airport celeb picture that I took. And it’s of my UB – Shim Changmin. Not the sharpest but it’s so pretty!

Park Bogum’s Oh Happy Day fm in SG 1

Oh my god. How am I going to do this? Alright alright. Got to start somewhere right?

The prep: I joined the PBG SG fanclub FB group and set up a twitter account JUST for this fanmeet. I had to be in the loop with regards to fan events and Bogum’s schedule etc. Sigh. Twitter is soooo distracting, especially since Bogum himself it there. Arghhhh.

There was a postcard fan event which I participated in. I wanted to let Bogum know what is really memorable to me, what really inspired me. That is Youth Over Flowers, Africa. It is only a small exaggeration to say that that programme (and the drama Reply 1988) changed my outlook on life. So…I printed out 10 postcards and used the YOF desert one for the fan event.

I hope he reads it. I not only love Bogum, I love Kyungpyo, Jaehong and Junyeol too. Slightly less though, I must admit. They are all such good people.

Day o: I arrived at Star Vista VERY early to hand my postcard to the good people at Bogummy_sg.  There was already a crowd outside the theatre. Bogum’s manger Kwangjoon and bodyguard walked past me. Some girls let out a squeal and started following them around. Erm, what for? Met up with Serene at 4+. We were grumbling that there were no standees or posters or anything for us to take pictures with! Too early for dinner so we stuffed our tummies with mini buns.

Stef arrived and we went downstairs to take picture of this:

Pathetic right? That’s the only thing we could find to take a picture of.

Dropped my ticket stub into the box and hoped for the best. *sings ‘pick me pick me pick me up!’*

Once I entered the Star Theatre, I loved it. It was so nicely done up and look at that stage! My heart did a little squeal when I saw Bogummy’s picture on the big screen! And yes! The colour theme is BLUE!

The usher led us to our seat. Row CD. I had never walked so much to the front of a theatre before. To our surprise, we were seated in the FIRST row! OH MY GAWD! FIRST! I jumped around, unable to contain my excitement. Ok, we just had to take pictures!

10 minutes to 6pm. We were shown videos of his gorgeous gorgeous Elle photoshoot and clips from Reply 1988 and Moonlight Drawn by Clouds. The Elle photoshoot is one of my favorite. I thought the no photography rule would be strictly enforced later on, so I just snapped a few pictures for keepsake. :p

Turned out we could take pictures! YAY! There were security walking around but they didn’t stop us from snapping pictures with our phones. They were pretty strict with cameras and videos I think.

Usually, I will sigh and dismay at the poor quality of a phone camera but hey, we’re at the first row baby! So, although resolution was poor but the pictures all turned out ok!

I’m not going to write a long-ass fan-account because I’m going to post all the fancams later on. So, here are some pictures of the man himself singing his first song of the night – Swallowing My Heart (Moonlight OST). He did exceptionally well! I think his singing form peaked in Singapore. YESH!

Yes, he was waving at me! But of course my eyes were on the phone at that moment, instead of locked with his. Well, you can’t have the best of both worlds!

He came by our side very often. From my memory and the fancams, I am quite sure he favored our side more. Now that I think about it, he was so frequently just about 2 metres away from me! Omo omo. When will I get a chance like that again. When???? *cries*

Bogum left the stage to change. Cue congratulary video from his friends. Usually, these videos are fillers and I tend to get bored watching them. But this one was so full of big shots! There were Kwangsoo (Aha! The guy Joongki chose over poor Bogummy! Haha), BTS, Jongkook (SPARTAAA), Jinyoung (LOVE HIM!), Cha Taehyun (fan since My Sassy Girl) and of course, Song Joongki!

They all praised Bogum to the sky. Walking angel, pillar of the company etc…I’m glad he has so many good friends in the industry. I will post a fancam of this congratulatory video too.

The plane that crash landed

I am still getting over the high that is Park Bogum’s fanmeet a week ago. There’s too much to write and document. I will slowly get to that. But first, let me tell you the story of a plane that malfunctioned and crash landed.

Long story short. At one of the fans’ request ie the girl sitting beside me, bless her for such a refreshing request), Bogum flew 5 paper planes into the audience. The first was dedicated to the said fan, let’s call her T. Because of T, Bogum looked our way a lot during that segment.

He prepared 4 more of such handsigned planes, albeit with no personal messages, to give out to fans. For the first one, he came to our section again. He said he wished the plane would reach the 2nd level. We were at the first row by the way, so I thought I’d never get it. Anyway, I already got the photo-op. I was sure I had maxed out my luck with Bogum.

He flew the plane right in front of me. I turned, trying to find which lucky girl got it. Then, I felt a thud on my forehead. What? Can this be..? No way… I looked down in front of me and there was the plane, resting by my foot, between me and T. NO.FREAKING.WAY.

I picked it up and there Bogum was, smiling apologetically at me. I heard him say sorry to me. I turned to Serene and Stef and they looked at me in disbelief, both saying how lucky I was. I know right. What are the odds? And to have Bogum making that eye-contact and speaking to me?? Priceless.

It all happened in a matter of seconds. Some parts of it are still vividly etched in my mind, but the others are a blur. I’m very happy to find fancams of the moment.

You can imagine how high I was that night. I really really did not expect this. Not in my life. Oh my gawd, my precious paper plane.

My kids pointed out how very lucky I was since T already had a plane herself and she wouldn’t need to fight me for this blue one. Serene pointed out how this one dove down straight to me. For the others, fans had to kind of grapple for it. I picked mine up without competition. *gasp*

I have always had bad luck when it comes to lucky draws and such. Seems like this Rooster year is a good one for me? Or maybe, it’s just….my destiny….?
